Suzie
If there is insufficient room for an adaptor perhaps there might be room to replace the 8-pin PCB with a 21-pin PCB. Zimo make a generic PCB called ADAMTC 44mm x 26.5mm so I suspect should fit if a Bachmann PCB is not available.
SRman
While agreeing with others here regarding the lack of space in the class 20, I can state that I have successfully used a 21 pin LokSound with an 8-pin chassis (a Replica Railways motorised EMU chassis), using the harness from a Hornby Sapphire decoder. I don't know where else these adapters are available. I happened to have two Sapphires bought as a trial, and one is in use with a 21-pin locomotive, leaving me with the very useful adapter and harness. The unit using the Replica chassis and legomanbiffo sound, incidentally, is a Bratchell Models class 319.
