'CHARD Posted September 5, 2016 Share Posted September 5, 2016 In October 1966 (50th anniversary this year), Bude, Launceston, Wadebridge and Padstow (and many other towns and villages in north Cornwall) lost their rail link to London in the Beeching cuts.
