faa77
I read in April 89 37188 received Petroleum livery at Eastfield and in May 89 it had its name "Jimmy Shand" removed, leaving only one month in this livery with the name. As such I have found it very hard finding a photo to confirm the loco did have the name and petroleum livery at the same time. Could anyone confirm/have a photo showing it still had the name "Jimmy Shand" whilst in the petroleum livery?
RMweb Premium ColinK Posted November 12, 2016 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 12, 2016 Sorry, I can't help with the query, but a DCC fitted model featuring sounds of a class 37 and Jimmy Shand would be 'entertaining'.
wirey33
There is a shot on Flickr showing it with patched paint looking like it's about to go into the paint shop. The name plate is still present.
GordonC
Not sure it would have. I put '37188 Eastfield 89' into a Google search for images and one photo came up of it looking pretty fresh from the paintshop nameless. The photo is just dated as 'late 80s' but I cant imagine it looking that clean and fresh for long or it getting many repaints into that livery http://picssr.com/photos/locohunter/interesting/page46?nsid=50784299@N08
