Dimming headcode lighting with Loksound V4

Just a bit further on this light dimming, there is a feature in the logical functions section on the Lokprogrammer that will dim lights and it will dim LED's.

There are CV settings for this BUT it is down to individual settings as it would need to be allocated to a free function button and you would need to know what AUX's the lights you want to dim are on.

Easy peasy with a programmer may not be by changing CV's.

If you want to try then send me a PM nothing guaranteed and untested by changing the CV's

Wiggy.

1 - you don't need to allocate a function key. You can do things without a function key, such as "stationary" plus "moving" which amount to "all the time".  You may need a spare "row" in the 40 rows of function mapping behaviour.

2 - if lacking a LokProgrammer, then JMRI DecoderPro will do these changes for you, using an interface which is very similar to that on the LokProgrammer.

3 - by individual CV's is tedious but possible. One could use the LokProgrammer software (free download) to generate the CVs required, and then apply them manually.

There are many possibilities as you say like 'Dim' when moving or 'Dim' when stationery etc. etc. the point I was making is that it is possible to dim LED's.

Allocating it to a function button is just one of many options open.
