We ended up with this Are there going to be some rivets on the metalwork for us to count? 😉 Or would they be bolts? Either way, I like the way you've added the visible bits of the pintles and gudgeons metalwork, a big improvement on how it came. 2 1 2

Whichever looks the best.

Whichever looks the best. I have a kit of a small craft with moulded bolts/rivets on the metalwork, so there is some relief which can be drybrushed at the painting stage. I don't know if it was from kitbashing this or another project but I did think if I wanted to add large boltheads to a model, I'd use a fine awl to create a tiny indentation and then use a cocktail stick to dab glue into these to create circular protrusions to simulate these. But pencil would probably be easier! 2 1

Popular Post KNP
And for those of you mad enough to build one then I’m finding these books very useful in answering and clarifying things This one has detail pictures of barges decks pre war but the quality is grainy Next one has some lovely sketches and tags so I can converse with some knowledge on inner jib stays and coamings etc… Both are out of print so tracking them down took some hunting But the jewel in the crown is this one Current and in print Why, because it is full of sketches like this Recommend, no connections just a very satisfied customer. There are others but most are out of print…. Just thought someone out there might be interested….! 8 1 11 2
RMweb Gold Limpley Stoker Posted February 22, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted February 22, 2023 I have learnt that I must keep my pawls on the ruffles. (I wonder if this applies to the old football rattles and the primitive ratchet inside) This is a fascinating project. Will Little Muddle basin get an extension so you can display all three vessels? 6
