Siphon208 Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 Hi I believe that Class 50's once strayed on to the Birkenhead to Chester Joint Line in the early 70's, when they were being taken off the WCML- Can anyone shed some light on this please? GordonC Posted March 14, 2017 Share Posted March 14, 2017 I think I've seen photos of Class 50 hauled diversions during the WCML electrification works getting to Chester and turning round on the triangle but that would presumably be between the Crewe line and Frodsham/Warrington routes.
