delticfan
Just bought a sealed pack of English bond plastikard and was a bit surprised at the quality of finish compared to a sheet I bought a couple of years ago. Firstly the finish is not as sharp and there are a lot of blemishes probably off the mould on the face, I know brickwork isn't perfect but this isn't an attempt to replicate that, also the back of the sheet is not smooth as before and the brick jointing has come almost all the way through. Anyone experienced a similar drop in quality I just hope this is a bad batch as I quite liked Slaters stuff but this is definitely going back. allan downes
Not sure, but it's probably vac moulded and the bed is worn out. Also, maybe Slaters are economising and using thinner styrene. Cheers. Allan
delticfan
Yes that make sense but it's chalk and cheese from the previous stuff in the plastic quality, just checked the thickness both old and new measure 23 thou, might drop them an email but if that's it then I suppose it'll have to do. Such a shame when you look at the previous example.
