Hi,

Recently I've acquired the EFE version of one of these buses:

http://www.modelbuszone.co.uk/efe/sd/163/16301.html

It does not have a numberplate however.  Does anyone know the registration numbers for these United Bristol LS's.

Also would anyone happen to know of route numbers they may have worked on around the Darlington/Cleveland area?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

They and the later MWs worked the 258 from Lingdale to Middlesbrough and the 280/1 from Redcar to Stokesley not sure with low powered engines they did the 255 along the coast to Whitby

Hi Russ,

That's really useful information. Thankyou.

Will have to start looking at the Fox destination blinds or get some custom ones made up.

Thanks once again.

Looking at the cloud of smoke they struggled to get down Lythe Bank.

Thanks Paul,

Blimey that's some smoke! :O Wonder how the brakes faired down Lythe Bank as well? Bit of fade I wonder?

Cheers,

Mark

This site has lots of information, including fleet numbers and registration numbers. There are photos of some vehicles, but they seem difficult to find.

Thanks Clive and £1.38. Brilliant! Just what I was looking for.

Cheers,

Mark

Not sure if they are still there but there used to be signs on Lythe bank telling united drivers what gears to use.

I noticed there was still one of Ruswarp bank the other week

The one at the bottom of Ruswarp bank is a modern reproduction enamel United sign, I'll have to have a look for them on Lythe bank, I know there were TEES ones up well into the Arriva period.
