Holiday greetings from Tormouth Quay!

We've had a lovely week down here, the weather's been perfect - well, if I'm honest, it's been too hot at times but mustn't grumble.

We were lucky enough to have a ride in this old LSWR "gate stock" set on Thursday on an enthusiasts' special along part of the street tramway.

We're spending the day in Plymouth on Saturday before heading back home via the "chippy of the year" in Plympton, just off the A38.

Hope we'll be able to meet up for a natter sometime during the day.  We're setting off early so should be in Plymouth about 10 & I think we'll be packing up for home at 4-ish.

Myself and Ray had a great day yesterday. The first proper outing the Feltham Road MPD, largely completed with light panel etc.

A few photos.

I think it was a pretty good little show, with a good standard of modelling. It was good to see Feltham Road in the flesh and 50x50 Shades of grey is something else, small but perfectly formed. A nice friendly atmosphere and some lovely cake. Thanks ladies.

Thanks to Phil & team for your hospitality (and manpower!) on Saturday.  Smart move not telling us in advance about those steps from street level up into the hall  .  .  .  .  didn't make for a good start to the day for me but seem to have survived in the longer term!

Managed to park up by Tinside Pool after we left you & saw the end of the Armed Forces Day air display over the Sound, including the wing-walkers.  From there to Kingfisher chippy in Plympton (2017 National Chippy of the year winners) before heading back home along A38/A30/A35.

Hope the visitors enjoyed it & looking forward to seeing you all again.

Phil and the team would like to send the exhibitors a big thank you for turning up and making it a good little show. I think it was well received by those that attended. Sadly I was unable too attend, but hey ho. I believe the home made cakes that the ladies made were well appreciated.

Thank you ladies.

Next years show will be on the 23 June 17.

Completely agree, I thought that 50x50 shades of grey was a superbly clever bit of work.
