Penlan
...... The key seems to be the pivot, it must be perpendicular to the hook with a minimum of solder so as to give catch free operation. It may seem like a lot of faff but the smooth operation that results is worth the time spent. Agreed, I think the recommended opening out of the latches to 0.6mm, leaves them to loose on the 0.5mm pivot wire. I'm tweaking what I have, but the pivot wire needs to be soldered to the hook. I'm also adding my own 'stops', probably from 0.3mm wire, as my eyesight can't get on the frail bits on the frets. I shall be using these Dingham's, and they will work with other peoples too. As stated somewhere above, my loops also couple up onto standard 3 link etc., coupling hooks. Nothing else I've tried does that - AJ's, Linc's, P4Me's, S&W, etc., After this weekend - we have some local festivities going on - lots o music, food etc., (and a BIG do next weekend too) - I shall try and write up my conclusions.
