daltonparva
Hello. I've just had a look at the instructions for one of these to see which decoder is in it, and I see it's a Loksound Select. Has anyone bought one and can give a verdict on the sound and synchronization?
Pete the Elaner
I have been told that the early Bachmann Jubilee sounded poor. I don't know if they have since changed their sound projects. Being a Select, it can't be re-blown. I steer clear of all factory-fitted DCC to ensure I get decoders I am happy with.

RMweb Gold tetsudofan Posted August 2, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 2, 2017 Interesting to hear that others are having problems with the Kashmir sound decoder. I've got one and it does sound odd and does not work in the same way that other Bachmann sound decoders do. However, it is somewhat better than the sound decoder that came with the Oxford Dean Goods. Now that I've heard that others have experienced problems I've decided that my Kashmir will go back as the first problem that I found is that the loco does not start moving or make any noise until it reaches about half throttle when it then sets off like a rocket. Plan is to document what I feel is wrong and then return the model to Bachmann via my (relatively) local model shop probably at the same time that I return the Oxford Dean Goods.
