Yes, I’m sure you would have come away with empty pockets. Me, I come away with a Rivarrossi 0-6-0T at a fair price which has potential. Hope your show and layout went OK today.

Yes thanks, layout ran well - not that there's much of it to go wrong!! - with lots of chats & interest, along with some amusement at the sign I put up in front:- "No room for a layout? ...then try O Scale!" & some sceptics who reckoned they'd be utterly bored with such a simple setup. Cue good conversations about the hobby being about so much more than just running trains.

Another great day, well done the team led by Steve Pilcher.  Good to see fellow O-scale enthusiasts a year on.  Hold on - a year on?  We haven't changed a bit...!  Great hobby.

As usual, many Cornishmen and Northeners, including Mike Watson, Wakefield RMS Chairman, confirming the O-scale American layout being built for their November 2019 Exhibition.  I rashly promised to get a Loksound decoder into my C&LS Alco RS36 for a visit by then :swoon:

The Meet used the large third hall at Kings' School and I hope it's easy for Steve to justify the cost again and find even more exhibitors for next year.  We really do need a standard-gauge O-scale American layout. :training:

Came away with lots of ideas and enthusiasm - didn't sell everything - how about doing the website better, no O-scale layout - how about a bit of FreemO, don't remember seeing Northroader - how about telling him I put a pack of P&D GP7 handrail posts in my pocket just for him :)

Glad I got a pic of that D&H boxcar.

Sorry, I should have introduced myself, I was the pillock who was wondering if you had any dummy side frames for Blomberg trucks for an Atlas F9. Today, back home, looking for something else, I found I did have some after all I didn’t know were there, so thanks all the same. Your photos look good, there was some real treats circulating on the club track every time you looked. Trouble was if they were moving, I was just getting a blur. Once I spotted a lovely GNR Atlantic at a standstill with the orange and green coaches (off to the Alco thread) looked at my pad, and when I’d got it ready to take a picture and looked back, the loco had been packed away in its box. I agree that the thing that was missing was a standard gauge American layout, usually you see one there, still, there’s always next year, Jacky is working on an exhibition version of Iowa Central?

Thank you Northroader. It can be a good idea to exhibit the Iowa Central in Winchester.

But at this time the Iowa Central is far to be finished.

I'm invited to the French Convention of US trains by September 2018 with this layout but I said to the organizer the layout will not be ready in time. So I'll show my N scale US layout.

I hope the Iowa Central will be ready for 2019.
