RMweb Gold Re6/6 Posted October 6, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) These have come up on ebay. Can anybody identity them please? They are non-corridor but l haven't seen what appears to be a 70ft one before or maybe it is parallax error! Thanks. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-Built-OO-Gauge-GWR-Coaches-3-GWR-Brown-Cream-Detailed-Unboxed-/122739002327?hash=item1c93d08bd7:g:G0sAAOSwCV5Z1OkC Edited October 6, 2017 by Re6/
chrisf
None of them is a 70 ft coach. The only 70 ft non-gangwayed stock was toplight sets built in 1913 for London and Birmingham suburban work. The numbers of the coaches illustrated are given as 6875, 5470 and 5869. 6875 was an E147 brake composite, 5470 a C66 third and 5869 a D117 brake third. All three figure in the Comet range. Some C66s were equipped with rodding to work with auto trailers but 5470 was not one of them. Chris

RMweb Gold 81C Posted October 8, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 8, 2017 I might give them a shot if the bids don't go too high.
