I've seen photos and video clips of orange and ivory bubbles in mixed rakes.

I can't find them now, but I'm almost certain I have seen a few youtube clips of an IR broken points 'tippex' livery loco hauling a rake with mixed ivory and orange cement wagons.

Thanks Noel, very interesting. It broadens my traction roster for these wagons as half of my MM GMs are in the IR livery. Love your efforts in weathering the wagons by the way, just as I remember them!

Pretty sure no orange bubbles would have existed by 1987 when IR came into existence. By 1983, approx 60% of the bubbles had been repainted in the ivory livery. I think CIE only started repainting the orange bubbles into ivory around 1980.

Hi all this is my first msg, thought I'd have a go at attacking some bubbles, maskol worked well for those peeling effects, plus the usual powders and airbtush, built the patches up using various grey acrylics plus the odd repair patch from the wagon works!!
