  1. That's quite a lot for a 7x4?, and you're first layout don't make the mistakes I made trying to cram as much in trackside as possible?, golden rules are: 1 keep it simple,ie maybe a branch line single track with a nice terminus on one straight side? With bay platform, small goods yard, 2 if you use peco unifrog points no need for wiring the frog points are already dcc friendly!!, believe me you don't want the headache of over complicated wiring??, keep this simple too? 3 try and make the railway look like it was laid in the landscape ,not the land around it? 4 make sure you wire every piece of track to the dcc bus under you're layout that way no problems with trains stalling ?, 4 and finally buy a nice simple dcc controller set which hasn't got complicated function systems for getting the blumin locos to do anything!!?, lenz l101 is a good entry level set nice and simple to use and made by the Germans!!, so their instruction manual is easy to follow?, after all they invented the hand book!!, 5 and finally don't rush it ?, glue your track down not pin it?, and happy modelling!!?
  2. Lovely to see these early days cie coaches, us irish railway enthusiast's need them?, altho I've already pre ordered 6 of them !?, I'm still waiting on 19!! YES 19 other promises that havnt materialised yet?, I wonder if that would be the same situation if I was an accurascale customer?????
  3. Yes I can thoroughly recommend wheeltappers AKA niel as he's supplied lots of my sound chips and persevered when I couldn't get my head round certain electronics problems, I'm not it savvy or an computer bod , but still managed to sort my sound chip with his instructions!!
  4. Oh I do hope so do all these nice coaches and leave out a vital vehicle the Dutch van!!???, would put me off buying a rake, like many people I have to rely on silver fox models for the generator vans which need a hell of a lot of kit bashing to get them anywhere near a decent standard to run behind accurately detailed coaches, and where's the Spanish arrows and 2700 s??, I know you're 22000 class look fabulous, but gents start at the beginning not the end eh??
  5. Hi all this is my first msg, thought I'd have a go at attacking some bubbles, maskol worked well for those peeling effects, plus the usual powders and airbtush, built the patches up using various grey acrylics plus the odd repair patch from the wagon works!!
  6. Having seen the fotos of the weathered bubbles here's my attempt at trying to make them prototypical manky!!
