Rugd1022
I hope they managed to fix it... it was a right b*gg*r to align properly at 81A!
jonhall
I hope they managed to fix it... it was a right b*gg*r to align properly at 81A! I don't think loco drivers will have to worry for a little while, it, like the Salisbury water tower and several iterations of carriage shed had got as far as a planning application (successful IIRC ) ith all the costs that involves, then the plan changed... darren01
If the old turntable at OC went to the Swanage Railway ,do's anyone know where the will be using it, been to the line and and can not work out where they could put it?.
jonhall
The site I saw plans for (which I believe got planning permission) was near Herston works. As the train leaves Swanage on the Right hand side after you pass under the A351 bridge the Herston industrial estate is on your right, the turntable would have fitted in the small field between the industrial estate and the flood defense embankment, before you reach Herston Halt.
