Tin Worm
Brushwork only on the body. Railmatch enamels and Humbrol washes. Transfers from the Parkside kit. So how does it compare? You be the judge http://PaulBartlett.zenfolio.com/brpipe/e7aed649 Daz

coachmann
I blew up the images to viewable size and the weathering is rather impressive.
millerhillboy
Great use of faded colours on tne pipe wagon, very used looking but exactly the right colours to my eye.
Lord Flashheart
Brilliant weathering Mr Worm, just goes to perfectly show you can't beat observation of the prototype to achieve realistic results. Rob
RMweb Gold Mick Bonwick Posted December 16, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 16, 2017 I have one observation to make, and it is most certainly NOT a criticism, and that is that I would not expect the metal strapping to weather to the same colours as the unpainted replacement planks. But I must admit to not having referred to Mr Bartlett's photographs to verify that. Nicely observed and even more nicely executed, just the way it should be done. Fat Controller
Nice work; as you mention using the Parkside transfers, I presume these are 0-gauge?
