souwest
Hi, Is there a snow plough available based on those running around the 1920-1950 period? I've seen the PRPMP and JLTRT which look fine for modern layouts, but have messed any older versions. Thanks in advance.
bécasse
There wouldn't have been a generic snowplough design (even in the BR steam era), one or two companies built specially designed ploughs from new but most ploughs were conversions, often using the underframes of old locomotive tenders. Thus even if you found a snowplough kit, it probably wouldn't be appropriate to your model.
Simond
not aware of any. Scratchbuilding time. As Becasse says, often based on an old tender chassis, which you will certainly be able to get the etches and other parts for. do show us progress! best Simon
