Chris M
The great thing about this layout is that it easily moved and stored Edited September 27, 2018 by Chris M
Chris M
I have been playing with my new phone so here are a few more photos. The end of the line Shunting round the back of the brewery. Farish and Dapol auto coaches
Chris M
A rare working of corridor stock. The size of this layout 44" by 27" was dictated by the size of the boot if my car. The car was if course sold before the layout was finished. The run round loop was designed to hold two Farish mk1s, but only just.

Chris M
A few more random photos. What a great place to have a garden Not so great for drying washing. The houses and brewery form a scenic break between Worlds End and Ridgacre.
RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted October 23, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 23, 2018 Chris , Great Photos and show N off at its best - able to get a lot in a small space yet be spacious in feel. Great photos. The shunter on the 2 Mk1s and Ivatt must have nerves of steel - two 57 footers would help him breath easier. Robert
Chris M
A pair of mk1 suburban coaches or a B set are more usual. The loco crew have to keep their heads inside the cab during this manoeuvre!
Lacathedrale
I've subscribed to your channel on youtube - I like the use of natural light, it feels very authentic.
Chris M
Ridgacre is off to the Warley show today! No not the NEC one which is next weekend but the St Hilda's Warley Woods exhibition which is a nice little one day show. I'm working on thoughts which will mean the end of his layout but we will shall see. I do have an idea for a replacement but it will be a fixed rather than exhibition layout. I've really enjoyed the exhibition scene and met some great people but maybe its time for a change. In the meantime the next exhibition is at Christ Church, Hagley Road West, Birmingham on 12th January 2019 so not far away. That just might be the last time out for this layout but you can never say never again. Edited November 17, 2018 by Chris M
OhOh
What a truly superb little layout! Big on interest, both operationally and scenically. Makes me wish my eyes could cope with N gauge.
Marly51
Love this great example of an analogue layout! I am happy with DC for my layouts at present. Thank you for sharing your beautifully detailed model! Marlyn
Chris M
Things are going downhill at Ridhacre. The parcels depot has been closed and become overgrown
Chris M
The once proud independent brewery was sold to a big international. Shortly after the brewery was closed and demolished. The branch line lost its last freight traffic which did not auger well for the future.
Chris M
Then came the inevitable closure of the line. Here are some photos of the very last train to run along the branch.
