RMweb Premium Northroader Posted August 17, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 17, 2019 As I understand the story, the first batch of 2BIL appeared with the Brighton electrification, and these were supplemented by the 2NOL from old LSWR stock, supposedly because the SR were low on funds. The 2BIL proved very useful, and with the later phases of electrification, a larger batch could by then be afforded. I would have thought that once made, they would turn up anywhere on the third rail system, not particularly dedicated to a particular route, so whichever type Hornby do would be alright for you to use?
