PM47079
My youngest got a Hornby western mail trainset for Christmas. Nice little set but the controller seems really poor. If the loco derails and shorts out the track. It would appear that you have to switch the controller off to reset it at the plug. Is this a new Thing or are all controllers the same. I was thinking of changing the controller and was wondering what would be a good one for him without going over the top. Any ideas.
steveb860
The Hornby train set controller is rubbish, The Bachmann equivelent is far superior, Cheltenham model centre sell them brand new split from sets for about £
bart2day
My Hornby one kept on cutting out too. Try the Gaugemaster combi controller. Far superior and you can pick one up for about £30-35.
