Ruston
Does anyone know where I can get some transfers for L&Y wagons, please? There's nothing on the HMRS website and a search on Fox Transfers seems to think that I want Great Eastern stuff when I type in Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway. Skinnylinny
There's some L&YR lettering on the HMRS LMS English pre-Grouping goods vehicle insignia (except LNWR) sheet - see here for details of what's on it - certainly a few different sizes of "L Y" and "L&Y" in white, plus "L Y" and fish van markings is black for... you guessed it, the fish vans. Available as Pressfix or Methfix in 4mm or 7mm scale.

coachmann
HMRS Sheet 17 is what you need. It covers wagons for the following railways: London Tilbury & Southern Railway North London Ralway Midland Railway Somerset & Dorset Railway Stratford on Avon Junction Railway Nrth Stafford Railway Lamncashire & Yorkshire Furness Railway Maryport & Carlislse Railway Cleator & Workington Railway. I never painted wagons, but I bought a few of these sheets because the serif numbers were useful for making up LMS smokebox number plates. I suspect these numerals are for L&YR wagons though, but if you want a sheet simply PM me your address and it will be popped in the post ~ no charge. Cheers, Larry G.
