B15nac
Hi I'm trying to collect as many photos of GWR BR WR sheds. Does anyone no of any good books or magazines that may have good photos in of these? Kind regards Neil Edited September 7, 2018 by B15nac

RMweb Premium melmerby Posted September 7, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) Hi I'm trying to collect as many photos of GWR BR WR sheds. Does anyone no of any good books or magazines that may have good photos in of these? Kind regards Neil The OPC book by E Lyons covers every GWR shed as of the last day of the GWR, 31 December 1947. It also includes any built by BR during the steam age. https://www.amazon.co.uk/historical-survey-Great-Western-engine/dp/0902888161 Or there is this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/British-Steam-Motive-Power-Depots/dp/071101311X/ref=pd_sim_14_2?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=071101311X&pd_rd_r=df66e3b1-b2a5-11e8-a1f4-150dcd1d19a7&pd_rd_w=tshlI&pd_rd_wg=PIrrf&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_p=88f8d9ff-a36b-4460-ac98-7d949e70c7e0&pf_rd_r=FF5P8HXC9HCTV3TGYMNB&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&psc=1&refRID=FF5P8HXC9HCTV3TGYMNB Keith Edited September 7, 2018 by melmerby
Nick Holliday
Eddie Lyons produced a second book, as joint author, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Historical-Survey-Great-Western-Engine/dp/086093019X/ref=la_B001KMKPTI_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1536333477&sr=1-

valleymodeller
There's also Diesels and Electrics on Shed Volume Three Western Region by Rex Kennedy. It's a 1980s publication by OPC. You should be able to get one cheaply on Ebay. Obviously it's the diesel era but some nice photos there. Tony

(I have that one as well) Keith Keith Sorry to have stepped on your toes, but the original post asked rather ambiguously about GWR BR WR sheds, which, to me, opened up the field a bit, although I have now noticed that the title of the post is just BR WR sheds. Mea culpa. Edited September 9, 2018 by Nick Holliday
