Tanks, Armour and Softskins - WWII

I thought I'd share a few pics of some of the Military vehicles that enhabit Remagen starting with a few Panther tanks.

 

All models are from Arrowhead Miniatures. The Panther is pretty much stock, as is the Bergepanther. The Sdkfz8 is the unarmoured flak half track that's had the crane from the NAG model fitted to it.

 

These two will be part of an armoured company that getting some well needed repair and maintenance beneath the cover of trees before being heading west to confront the Allieds.

More tanks in progress. This time they're Jagdpanthers.

 

The one on the left is having its drive sprocket replaces, while the one on the right has had the engine cover removed and a Maybach will be fitted into the engine bay.

 

They'll be a 3rd JagdPanther joining these two. Not yet sure how this one will look.

Definitely an option if you're modelling post-war Europe. If Eastern Europe, you'd also get away with old Soviet de-turreted T34's and BT7's being used as tractors.

With the panthers painted, marked up and weathered, they've now found their way onto the layout under the cover of a few trees.
