LNWR ticket inspectors

Does anybody who works for LNWR know if they're now using a lot of plain clothes ticket inspectors, or are they deploying new staff before issuing them with uniforms. A few times recently I've noticed on train ticket inspectors in civvies, just wondered if it was deliberate to catch dodgers napping or just a uniform issue.

I know in the old LM franchise we did have a revenue team in civvies especially around the West Mids.

They may have started doing this again but that would be WMR and not LNWR I know its one company but thats another story.

I've not heard anything from my colleagues regarding undercover revenue teams but I'll ask the question at work.

Its nothing new to have RPI in civvies especially on Pay Trains as they sit and observe people boarding and not buying tickets!

Revenue Protection in civvies are a pretty standard weapon for most TOC's these days.  Also you will see from time to time you will see Minions from the DfT doing ticketless travel surveys as well.
