sandwich
Hi all, I'm hoping to get some retaining walls laser cut in 2mm to represent the area around Farringdon Station: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:North_end_of_Farringdon_station.jpg http://www.abandonedstations.org.uk/WidenedLines.html (Second image on this page, I can't get the link to the actual picture because of it's formatting) I've seen plenty of people cutting bricks to good effect on this site, but I was wondering if anyone had more specific information or photos about the bricks and the retaining walls around Farringdon? Especially regarding the height of the walls and the size of the bricks, but any information is greatly appreciated! Unfortunately I don't live close enough by to make a field trip Final question, when designing the brick pattern, does anyone have advice relating to the thickness of the mortar? Should I just aim to mortar cut at the minimum width? Thanks all!
rue_d_etropal
Not sure on exact sizes of bricks, but tend to work on basis that in 4mm scale they are 3mm long by 1mm high. That includes mortar. For my 3D printing I tend to make mortar 0.3mm deep, and 0.3mm wide.
