RMweb Gold Right Away Posted November 5, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 5, 2018 (edited) The GWR Collett "Bow Ended" coaches (as modelled by Hornby) have what appear to be four conduits or pipes on their roofs. I'm sure a heritage/restoration associated member will know the exact purpose of these fittings. Edited November 5, 2018 by Right Away
K14
They're handrails, presumably to aid with fittng/removing destination boards. Drg No. 81080 (E.127 July 1926): Pete S.
RMweb Gold Right Away Posted November 5, 2018 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted November 5, 2018 Thanks Pete I couldn't fathom them out as there seemed no logical association with the interior (compartments etc) of the coaches.
