The clocks have changed so the dark nights are here for a few months. We have a big run of shows coming up (5 in 4 weekends) and are looking forward to meeting many old friends.

 

NEW PRODUCTS

We had been adding odd products here and there and they can be seen on the website. If you go to Product/New Products you will see lots there, we recommend that you go to last entry as this will be the latest on the list.

 

We had to drop the Vallorbe range of 4" files some time ago when the manufacturer withdrew the range. They appear to have made a U turn on this and we are told they are again available. We will be stocking these over the next few months. We have also been informed that Vallorbe have discontinued the Square Seconds file, so when our stock is gone we are not able to replace it.

 

CHRISTMAS POSTING 

When we send by post in the UK we always use First Class post. We will try to send all orders for Post placed before 14:00, on the day they are placed (Monday to Friday). This will be subject to stock availability.

 

Where courier delivery is required, we use a next working day service for England, Wales and Scotland - excluding Highlands and Islands. We try to ship such orders on the day they are placed if placed before 11:00. UK orders outside this area will typically be sent on the next day and may take up to 7 Days.

 

We are not planning to make any shipments on Monday 24th December.

 

Courier Delivery will be as normal for shipments up to Friday 21st December.

 

The last posting dates recommended by Royal Mail are as follows:

Africa, Middle East - Tues 4th December

 

WEBSITE UPGRADE 

We are planning on upgrading the website some time during December or January. This will involve closing the site for approximately 24 hours. Please watch for messages on the home page.

 

NEW SHOW STAND

We are continuing to develop the new exhibition stand. The changes are happening progressively. We will have more open space at one end of the stand and many more products displayed on vertical racking. You may have to look wider than usual to find things. We hope you like it and will look forward to hearing your feedback.

 

PHOSPHORIC ACID FLUX

The issue with Phosphoric Acid flux is now resolved and we have stock in place of the 9%. We are still unclear about the 12% but hope to resolve this soon.

 

SPECIAL OFFER

We have been supplying Airbrush and related products for some time, but are now finding that most people who want an airbrush already have one. The range also takes up a considerable space at shows and tying up a lot of stock, so we reluctantly made the decision to withdraw from this market sector. Accordingly we are offering a massive 20% off all Airbrushes, Compressors, Spares and most related products including Paint products until midnight (GMT) Sunday 16 December 2018.

 

This applies specifically to all products under the Products/Airbrushes Painting and Cleaning category on the website. The offer is for orders placed through the Website only. Simply put the coupon code AIRBRUSH in the Coupon box on checkout.

 

EXHIBITIONS

We will for the first time be attending the Thornbury Show, this is the small show in the village, not the large event at the leisure centre. This is intended to give our customers in the Bristol region and South Wales access to our products.

We have the usual clash with Manchester and Reading in December and Bristol and Southampton in January. We will take the 4mm Kits and Short Metal Sections to Manchester and Southampton only and 500mm Long Metal Sections and Plastruct to Reading and Bristol only.

 

The Festival or Railway Modelling - Peterborough has changed dates from last year and is now on 8/9 December 2018.

We do not keep credit card details for longer than necessary. Web orders use third party payment processing services (currently Paypal and Worldpay) and Card data is not received or retained by us.

 

This is an opt in newsletter, all recipients in some form requested to be sent this. There is an unsubscribe link at the bottom.

We do not sell, give or otherwise pass on any customer details other than as needed to satisfy the order.

Do not forget that you can beat the queues at shows by pre-ordering through the website. There is a checkout option for this. You can choose to pay through the website or on collection. Please state in the 'Comments' box which show you wish to collect the order from.

 

Please allow at least 1 week for pre-orders, 2 weeks for Ally Pally, Guildex - Telford, Scaleforum, Railex, Expo EM, York and Warley. Also please allow 2 to 3 weeks for orders of Parkside Kits. Cambrian kits will be as available from the manufacturer.
