Automatic Braking Control - BM1?

Not really sure what I need here.

 

Basically, a loco travelling between two points, slows, stops, reverses and does the same at the other end.

 

Am I right in thinking I need two BM1 units from Lenz and a suitable chip?

 

Finding them hard to find online (although I haven't looked too intently).

 

Or is there a guide for home build versions?

I posted a similar request a few months back.

 

I've made several of the home made BM1s and we use them on our club O gauge layout and I have a few on my 4mm layout at home.

Yes, follow thread Ray linked to.

 

For automatic shuttling, it needs a Lenz decoder (most other makes which support Asymmetric brake stops don't do the shuttle reversing), plus the brake modules.  
DIY brake modules are half a dozen diodes, so cost under 50p, I would have written them up years ago on my blog.
