Would a couple of these work ......

Recommended Posts

Doubtful. A large volume of air has to be drawn through the filters to get the paint particles away from your nose. I can't see a couple of these achieving that.

Agreed, these wont draw much air to start with and fitting filters will reduce the flow even more.

my spray booth is using a single 120mmx120mm fan that delivers 111cfm of air. It has about 50 Watt. The one above has about 5 Watt, so even two of them will have only 20% of the required flow for a cabinet.

In fact, if I increase the pressure at my 0,3 mm airbrush to 3bar, the fan cannot handle the overspray any more. So I would recommend some 75 Watt for a reasonable spray booth.

Be very careful with fan choice (I appreciate you've mentioned acrylics) since there's a real chance of ignition. I believe such fans are normally brushless (coreless?); sealed switches too usually.
