Giesl Ejector

Recommended Posts

Hi  I am building a 4mm scale Beyer Garratt as proposed for BR in the 50's by Beyer Peacock. In view of the successful use of the Giesl ejector on Garratts in Africa I should like to fit one to my loco. Question is " where can I buy one?"

Thanks in anticipation.

It would be pretty big for a design of the size that would justify BR buying a Garratt. The nearest 4mm option would be if there were a Giesl ejector available for the 9F from one of the detail parts specialists. (There will be bigger in HO, but 12.5% reduction over OO may make them too small: perhaps a small O gauge item is available?)

Make your own- take the general dimensions of the 9F version, and use that to make something that looks right.

It's not like it's going to function correctly anyway !

(and yes, I have done math, lots of it, related to drafting...it gets wickedly complicated quickly, with assumptions made left right and centre to figure out   guess sizes that are best fit on a set of curves...)

RT models, do a Giesel ejector for the Bullied BOB/ West country in the Albert Goodall range.

Robert is taking a break from RT Models at present - Alan Gibson does a casting for the BR 9F, part no. 4M821.
