RobjUK
Hi, I'm working on an 7mm Class 55 loco from a brass & white metal kit. It does not include the brake shoes (or blocks?) visible on many other similar models - and I have so far been unable to find these anywhere, over dozens of places selling cast parts. Does anyone know where they are available from? Thanks, Rob.

mike hughes
I might have some brake shoes in the whitemetal moulds I've got, wouldn't be sure if the correct type Michael
The Bigbee Line
The Class 37 brake block assembly is quite complex and you can't actually see too much of the block. Here is a picture that might be of some use showing the key parts. Quite basic in design but performs well in service, if a little labour intensive as it needs manual adjustment on the slack adjuster, then attention over a pit to adjust the rods, all in addition to the block change when they are worn out.. auld_boot
Another possible would be Heljan spares from Howes, it can be worth phoning them even if their website says out of stock. https://howesmodels.co.uk/product-category/model-railway/Heljan-uk/Heljan-o-class-35-37-47-55-spares/
RobjUK
Hi, thanks for all the ideas & sorry for not acknowledging them earlier, for some reason I'm not getting notifications. I ended up with a set of white metal parts from PRMRP, the place I got the original kit from.
