JamieR4489
Kingfisher could be a good donor. It's got the right tender and would just need the chimney changing, the lamp iron and whistle moving and overhead warning flashes added. The top of the tender would also need to be painted black. Ribird
Let’s just hope they change BR Blue Mallard to a single chimney or something.

Why would they do that? Mallard had a double chimney from new.

Try some emojis if you are making a joke! Its relatively basic (expert) information that Mallard was selected for the 'Brake Test' because it was the first d/c A4 and therefore nominally more capable that its classmates. Despite this I've seen online video reviews mentioning that Mallard had a d/c fitted later (or that it was built with a corridor tender but preserved with a non-corridor tender, or other bits of incorrect info that shows basic lack of research/knowledge).

Ribird
Does anyone know when Bittern is supposed to be shipped? I’m getting contradicting timelines. I’m seeing between May-August.
RMweb Premium Hilux5972 Posted April 9, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted April 9, 2019 It will ship, when it ships! Dates given by Hornby are just guidelines. At the 2019 announcement, it was originally this month.
