Wickham Green Posted April 24, 2019 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Not as straightforward as you'd think : not only the reverser rod, ejector pipe and cab fittings to swap but the front buffer beam was a different shape ( on all 14xx Ns ). The original tender was as supplied by Bachmann but - as the brake screw was on the wrong side - they were soon replaced by new-build ones which were a little different at the rear, lacking the rounded corners and having the grab handles firmly on the side.
