The next book in the series has been returned after proof reading. This is the cover, miles better than the ER one, in fact my favorite so far. This should be out in July.

Just had the Scottish one back for proof reading this week. I’ll post some details later. The next one, just started, is Brighton and Sussex.

The publishers must be happy as they’ve asked me to do some more......yet to finalise the subject matter.

I think I can take this as a positive review, Rail Express magazine December 2019 issue.

just got my copy of this book as a birthday present from my kids, it's an excellent album, first class reproduction (mainly in colour but some b/w) of great '70s and '80s scenes covering the LMR, incuding two of Coventry station that really took me back to my good old days when I was a local spod.

my only suggestion (to the publisher) would be to have gone for a larger page format to do justice to the images.

cheers,

Keith

I would agree, but Amberley seems to have standardised on this format for all its photo album type books from a plethora of authors, and including the Strathwood Spotting Days reprints. Presumably there's a commercial reason behind the decision.

Thanks for the comments......

Amberley publishing tend to like a standard 96 page format and approx 180 photos for each book. I tend to supply a few too many hence some three a page.
