geoffers
Must get down there. Been a member for years nut never managed to pop in (live in Norfolk). What is the car parking like?
RailWest
You take pot-luck ! If you go on a 'normal' weekend, then probably no problem. On 'special event' occasions then the car-park may well be full, but you can park just across the road in Norton Hill school car-park at weekends. Theoretical you can always park in the town (main car park off the bottom of Silver Street), but frankly I've never find it necessary and it's a long drag up the hill anyway.... No chance then :-) :-) Best to try and go on an 'event' weekend when they have trains running, but otherwise you can always walk the footpath alongside the full length of the existing line towards Chilcompton (about 1 mile max).

brianusa
What a nice little railway - who needs a twenty mile line, and in a lovely part of the country to boot! Brian.

brianusa
Looking at these pictures it is more mindful of a branch line station than one on the main line! Brian.

RailWest
Note the open countryside and empty hillside beyond the station yard entrance in the RH background !
