RMweb Gold Not Jeremy Posted August 7, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 7, 2019 (edited) Just to say that the latest book from Wild Swan is now out and available. Priced at £26.95, a high quality 180 pages long softback, packed with photos, information and extensive scale drawings, including twelve large drawings on six fold out sheets. Thanks very much to David, John and Bob for producing this latest volume, a very worthy addition to those already published I think. ISBN 9781912038688 Available direct at https://www.titfield.co.uk/index.htm or from all good bookshops and specialist retailers, including Book Law, Bill Hudson books, the Vale of Rheidol shop, Ian Allan at Waterloo and more besides. I shall be at Guildex at Telford at the end of the month with copies for sale on the W ild Swan stand. Two quick questions, what will number 16 be about and will it come out sooner than 15?
RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted September 10, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 10, 2019 Many, many years ago, but long enough after No. 14 came out for it to become apparent that the flow had dried up, I spoke to both Bob Essery and David Hunt at the Warley exhibition. I understood from what was said then that they had material for three more Profiles, so I would infer two more after this one. Where are the obvious holes? The Jubilees and the taper-boilered 2-6-4Ts, I'd say - but both rather complex subjects.
RMweb Premium Dave Hunt Posted September 10, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 10, 2019 The one that Simon would like is the Ivatt 4s but I've got so much on my plate at the moment that it will be some time before I can even start to think about another book. RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted September 13, 2019 RMweb Premium Share Posted September 13, 2019 Just received mine; at a first look through, at or beyond the established standard. Particularly looking forward to a careful reading of the chapter Origins and Development. Worth the wait and - at 180 pages - worth its weight! 1
