RMweb Gold Right Away Posted August 9, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 9, 2019 I would be grateful if someone could advise on the actual size/description of the fine wires which manufactures use to connect pick-ups and motors in their 00 locomotives. Guest
Maybe this picture will helps? This thin digital wires are for the decoder and connect to the motor. The locomotives model of today do have PCB and you need only maximum load current at the motor about 0,2 Amps. So no need to use thick wires.
RMweb Gold Right Away Posted August 10, 2019 Author RMweb Gold Share Posted August 10, 2019 Agreed; it's the really fine wire that I'm after where the existing wires have broken, leaving little to work with. Much prefer to replace a whole length than faff about with joints where space is minimal.
