Clay Country
Mine arrived yesterday, and like previous Dapol Bones it's a beautifully-finished model B) . My only slight reservation is the positioning of the front end number, which looks a little too high, but this should be easy to remedy.

RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted October 30, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 30, 2012 Hi gang ND103J arrived from Hattons, 58033 in EW&S livery - despite many traders saying EWS it is a lovely version in early livery , but with Beastie logo! runs really well after a light oil bogie towers looked dry. Detail bag has inner cab handrails and selection of pipes and couplers plus another bag with two buckeye for magnetic syatem.Paint work pin sharp. great model Robert
RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted October 31, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 31, 2012 Hi gang just been trawling pics and unless somebody has photo otherwise 58033 did not carry beasity logos, easliy removed with a spot of IPA / micro sol. I was going to say EWS&R and beasties did not happen but found lovely pic of 58024 at Hubberts Bridge on a special with just that combination. However 58033 was one of 3? 58s that had golden stripe higher up body so a renumber not possible. I guess logo will come off as this best fit. Stu from EGDL
Hi Rob; Perhaps the EWS beastie absconded from the Class 56 production line..... Later; STU from EGDL
RMweb Gold Robert Shrives Posted November 3, 2012 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 3, 2012 Hi , checking the loco illustrated mag for class 58 it noted that 58033 was first 58 with stripe in EWS&R livery and the only one with the high stripe position. Clay Country
IIRC the solebar on 033 was black - EWS adopted the maroon solebar and mid-height gold band for subsequent 58 repaints.
