It's now ready to be reincarnated as an 009 roundy/roundy, but I don't have any ideas on era, region, style or purpose, other than it should be steam based and not too expensive to build. Small industrial / slate quarry, small rural like the Welshpool / Talyllyn, ‘mainline’ like the Lynton & Barnstaple / Isle of Mann / Festiniog? I’d search the web and books for photos of what you want to model and then get a list they can be used to work up a plan. Big locos like the Heljan L&B ones need 12” minimum radius while stuff like the Bachmann Skarloey and Minitrains Range are happy on 9” radius.
