I remember him selling my father and myself a county from the factory in Winsford I was tickled pink. It was a reward for passing my entrance exam to senior school! Then some years later he repaired the locomotive at Llangollen and he let us into the tour for free. I think he charged very little for the repair just the cost price of the spares and even gave me a new box.
