Here news from the Waynesville Terminal!

After a while to model French trains, my son came back to his US layout.

The gang chief has done a track inspection

Travaux

After that, operation has started again with a new engine: A GE-70 and a GE-44 (2-motor version) and the Baldwin

You can see a 1-inch extension in the foreground which help to take pictures when finished.

My son is working on the scenery. He likes that!

I think his work looks good. You can see the little front extension. The big building is under works. I'll come back soon to show you it.

This "kitbashing" took me a lot of time to complete: a January exhibition helps me to progress. This week of holidays is helpful too!

This time, I've weathered the model by myself. My son is working on other stuff.

A little photo: the crossing sign, my composition.

More work... the "big" brass lock is used only when we carry the module.

The "small" lock shares the current to the good track and lock the track in place. A wire will connect the rail to this lock.

The building is near completion. I need to weather it a little bit more.

I design a big sign for the building adapting a photo of a tin on Publisher.

I made a big advertising on the roof.

The time is fast but this project is still on the way!

This layout don't permit to store a "long short line" train. So from a while, my son and me we were thinking to extend the loop track.

This time the decision is brought!

We'll go to cut the module in two parts to add a portion of trackage.

The first things are done: to cut the track! And the wires.

The photos show what I mean...

Just one small detail - the 'Railroad Crossing' boards should be the other way round.

However there are some the other way round.

e.g.

Ah yes, that's great to find these photos. I'm surprised to see these one in the "wrong" way.

We can see all is possible ;)

They haven't just been swapped around after maintenance etc. as the mounting holes would be in the wrong place.

Some nice modelling with your layout.

I could do with someone like your son to do my scenery!🙂

More work on the layout.

I've built the interface plates for the 2 modules at the same time to obtain a precise location for the holes and the size of the plates.
