Block control with a pc

Hi Has anyone see this website http://www.dcctrainautomation.co.uk/[/b] or used this guys bitswitch products? ive looked at this for a while now and am thinking of going down this route, ive spoken to the UK supplier A chap called James who came across very knowledgeable in what i may need, is there anyone out there using this system or have a view on it please .Thanks

This shows one of my layouts using Heathcote electronics cards.

I've wired them to work in the same way as the DCC Bit Switches work, by switching DC to an isolated section of track.

They do work very well, but are expensive, which is why I used the Heathcote electronic boards, although it's not obvious how you can make them work at first with DCC.

With Bit Switches, you also need a magnet inside or on the loco and/or rolling stock to operate the reed switches placed next to the track.
