I've wired them to work in the same way as the DCC Bit Switches work, by switching DC to an isolated section of track. The main DCC Bit Switch web site from the guy who makes them is below:- http://www.dccbitswitch.com/ They do work very well, but are expensive, which is why I used the Heathcote electronic boards, although it's not obvious how you can make them work at first with DCC. With Bit Switches, you also need a magnet inside or on the loco and/or rolling stock to operate the reed switches placed next to the track.
