Aire Head
Spotted these two on a well known auction site and wondered if anyone could advise me as to what they are? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kit-Built-LMS-Coaches-X2-00-Scale/133241613759
RMweb Gold Joseph_Pestell Posted December 17, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 17, 2019 Period 1 57' coaches as first produced by Mainline. Are you sure they are kit built?

That's what confusing me they do look like the Mainline ones and wanted confirmation. That said though and it might just be me but the composite looks longer than the brake
Zunnan
They certainly look like the Mainline coaches to me, with SEF flush glazing added and also look like they've been repainted.
5 C
They're definitely the Mainline/Bachmann Period 1 corridor coaches but they've had some detailing, namely the addition of the smoking/non-smoking window decals and as mentioned above, possibly flush glazing Some of the numbering may have been replaced but IIRC, 3621 was the original number for the CK. It looks as though some weight has been added between the truss rods which has covered up the Mainline/Bachmann branding. It wouldn't be correct to describe them as kit built though - at best detailed RTR.
RMweb Gold Darius43 Posted December 17, 2019 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 17, 2019 “Kit built” is a much mis-used and abused term on eBay. Darius
