New O16.5 (7mm narrow gauge) locomotive kit.

0+gauge+clogher+2.jpg?format=2500w

I was recently asked if I could produce a 7mm version of the Clogher Valley Sharp Stewart that I offer.

I can’t offer chassis suggestions, as the person who commissioned me intended to scratch build their own chassis. I have however included an image that shows the dimensions of the model opening.

The model is supplied with real coal, headlamp and cowcatcher.

The photos show an unpainted but primed model.

It's been a little while since I released a new model, sorry about that! Problems with my creative mojo, we've all been there, I'm sure.

DSC_0914.JPG?format=1500w

DSC_0910.JPG?format=1500w

The above model is a freelance Peckett style side tank. Although I did take some inspiration from various Peckett locos. I've designed two versions, one for the Kat0 108/109 chassis and one for the Roco 0-6-0. I've also started adding some extra details to my models where possible and prototypical, such as rivets and handrails. Going forward, I'll be adding this kind of detail to all my models, past and future.

The models can be purchased from my website >> https://www.mattditch.photography/online-shop-1

New kit!
DSC_0645.JPG?format=1500w

I'm very pleased to finally be able to offer my first kit for the Bachmann Percy chassis. The body kit is based on a Kerr Stuart "Sirdar" 0-4-0 tank. A number of these were built for industrial use. And, saw service all around the world in a variety of industrial settings. My kit depicts the short tank version. But, I do plan to offer different variants.

The kit can be purchased from my website >>

6 years ago today I entered the world of 3d modelling with a crudely drawn rendition of my house. From there, I quickly turned my attention to designing and printing various steam & diesel locomotives, mostly in 009 (Other scales are now available!). I first got into 3d Modelling & 3d printing as a distraction to help me cope with my mental health, something that unfortunately still affects me. Although it can affect my productivity, I continue to learn new skills and tricks that I hope, in the long run, will improve my offerings. And, I'm personally very proud of what I've been able to achieve over the past 6 years. I've sent models off to all corners of the Globe, and have one off to Australia this week!

And, for those who got this far, here is a 10% discount code for my online shop OCT10 https://www.mattditch.photography/online-shop-1

Between other projects this week, I've been working on this freelance Sentinel railcar. It's not really based on anything in particular. Although the cab design was inspired by I believe a LSWR railcar. My model is finished in a work worn, and battered livery inspired by the Furness Railway. In my head, I could imagine this carrying workers to and from some remote Cumbrian slate mine, spending most of its time exposed to the elements.

It's been a little while since I posted any new models. Well, today I'm very pleased to be able to share my latest creation. Going back several years one of the first 009 kits I designed was for a Pre-War Sentinel. The model quickly became outdated as I learned new skills and improved my offerings. However, I always intended to re-release it at some point in the future. Over the last several weeks I've designed a completely new model from scratch, which I'm now happy to share with everyone.

The attached photo shows my very work-worn-looking Pre-War sentinel trundling along with some wagons. The model is designed to fit a shortened Kato 109 or 108 chassis (Not included)

I started my little 3D printing business as a way to distract myself when I was going through a dark patch in my life. I would never have thought back then just how popular my little 3D creations would become. I've shipped my kits to all corners of the world and made some amazing friends along the way.

The first kit I released several years ago was an approximation of a Hudswell Clarke diesel, similar to those used on the Sierra Leone Government Railway.
This was also a popular model and over the years I've sold many copies to all corners of the globe. However, as time went on and as my skills developed I found myself unhappy with the aging model. So, over the past few months, I've been working on an all-new version. It's not based on any particular loco but is instead an amalgamation of a few different locos.

Like last time I have two versions available. A skirted version for the Kato 109 and an open version for those who may wish to use something different to power it. Although I'm leaving that up to the modeler as I haven't tested anything else under it.

If you're interested in picking one up they can be purchased from the below links
