George Hudson
Some initial photos of my semi relief model of what is now the NatWest bank in Aldersgate Street which will be part of the City area of the Aldersgate Layout. Usual hairy modelling from yours truly which is a product of the old school way I work and increasingly dodgy eyesight. Hopefully it will have charm at least and look ok from a normal viewing distance. 5

fire.up.the.aero
Andrew whether it's 'old school' or not, one thing never in doubt is that yours is superb modelling. Always a pleasure to see the progress with your buildings on Aldersgate.
George Hudson
So I've go as far as fitting the windows along the main side of the building. Since this is semi relief, there's only the thin section to go which is the entrance. I'll assemble it as a wedge shaped structure with two blank sides and start work on the entrance. 7
George Hudson
...... here's some shots that illustrate where I am trying to get too. The building next to the bank is a model inspired by the now demolished Harwich House at Liverpool Street 7
George Hudson
quick photo update The balcony is made from a plastic bottle neck. Some basic internal features and some shadowy figures will be the limit of what will be modelled internally. 5
pinzaboy
Love the modelling. Excellent buildings and clever use of the bottle neck. Amazing!! Tim
George Hudson
Flat roof installed as a base for the complicated mansard roof, a few desultory customers lurking in the banking hall, more detailing, more to come! 3
George Hudson
Plenty of odd angles to fill in on the roof, hours of fun! Upstairs windows "offered up" to get a feel of how they will look. (apologies for anyone who feels this is one up from watching paint dry) 1

Good luck with the Mansard roof, the one on my house I used to have leaked as they hadn't fitted the tiles correctly, so prototype for everything.
