That’s precisely the sort of layout pic I studied for hours and referred to constantly . I built a similar one . Totally unprototypical of course but good fun . I still buy the annual catalogue , because I collect them , but although very professionally produced and a lot bigger I find there’s little in them that’s inspiring or interesting in the way the old catalogues were . They are read in an evening and seldom referred to again . i always think Hornby are missing a trick and could do a retro style catalogue maybe with a good few layout scenes they could then put in their Visitors Centre,where apparently the existing layouts are a bit jaded .
