RMweb Premium 03060 Posted March 30, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted March 30, 2020 (edited) I wonder if any body can point me in the right direction of a good view of the rear of the original 10 (J23) J50/1 locos, please, with their extended coal rail bunkers as I'm trying to work out the exact shape. I can find several good side views and one reasonable 3/4 view but no end on views; I can't decide whether or not the upper rails are vertical, angled in a 'V' shape or just flared out at the top. I've got several sources, Yeadon's register, Locos Illustrated, RCTS, GN Engine Shed 3 and several general books on railways in the West Riding but still can't find a definitive view, the best one is of 68898 at Osset in Railways Around Wakefield and Pontefract but even from this I can't tell properley....the LH side looks angled, whereas the RH side looks vertical which I'm sure that they will both be the same in reality. T'internet's not given me any better pictures as of yet either and I only have drawing's of J50/2's. Any help greatfully recieved, Thanks, Ian. Edited March 30, 2020 by 03060 Correction.
