Staffordshire
When the Royal Scot locomotives were rebuilt, what worksplates were added and where were they situated on the loco ? Were original worksplates kept or were there Crewe worksplates. ? Any information on format etc, gratefully received. With thanks, Ian
RMweb Premium Compound2632 Posted June 8, 2020 RMweb Premium Share Posted June 8, 2020 If the answer to this question is known, it will be found in D. Hunt, J. Jennison and R.J. Essery, LMS Locomotive Profiles No. 15: The Royal Scots (Wild Swan, 2019).
Steamport Southport
Unless they were fitted in the cab then I don't think they were fitted. Can't see any here and they soon received smoke deflectors in the place they would normally be placed. The smokebox or front frames. https://www.flickr.com/photos/126612220@N04/14894763938/ Jason
