Lovely work on the 50! Just needs a greased up screw link to finish the job!

NL

They were missing when it arrived ( one and a half anyway!) so the owner  will sort it out now it’s home!

Enjoyed following your work, once I’d got my layout set up I was planning wagons and locos for weathering and repaint, If you do change your mind?

Apologies for little online activity but I have actually been pottering so a quick update!

The Accurascale JUAs are very nice but a bit bright so given them a beating,

IMG_5417.jpeg.9e57f0543e89203c8c74860d03b8be03.jpeg
likewise a JNA,

IMG_5421.jpeg.e6e883039923c238e95453a952ddf6ba.jpeg

and a faded Hornby van …..

A long term project left over from last year was the Southern Pride  SR Tavern coach and Restaurant car.

Two resprays next, a real dog of 50007 Hercules into large logo, much better;

and a Heljan 47 from Dutch back to BR blue;

last up, nice pic from a customer of the Arriva 158 I did for him…..

I’ll try and post a bit more frequently but can’t promise!!

Bachmann 20 from my stash- I wanted 20302 without the high intensity lights as it comes from the factory so removed and filled on the front with the yellow resprayed;

Same again on the cab front, I have blacked out the LEDs on the light boards,

IMG_5704.jpeg.14a35fd54fd570a5bd69b9f7692d4b19.jpeg
and cab side window frames changed from silver to blue before topped off with a weathering:-

More wagon work with a few Dapol IOAs, still tinkering as trying to get the look right!

IMG_5713.jpeg.db6b7228d84a1674695e293b07c391a5.jpeg

and a wider view,

One completion was an Anglia DVT in the white livery

That’s about it for now. Cheers Jerry

More wagon work and a couple of longer term updates. I’ve been busy with a few boxes:

IMG_5845.jpeg.fa55ea6594a14346c2eaac17b060b69e.jpeg

which are just fun to do….

IMG_5848.jpeg.d692278bc084dadb317823e418812675.jpeg

and again…

IMG_5846.jpeg.0e386fa1f5914d5f30316f8f0187bca4.jpeg

and of course they need something to go on…..

Staying with wagons a pair of Turbots,

IMG_5853.jpeg.d9ca0a46728c5788c88264f4439b3130.jpeg

and whilst weathering a roof for D335

Lastly a long term project for @Johnson Street IEMD which we started talking about last year but thanks to the guys at Rainbow Railways and Railtec we got the decals to do this,

and here it is again with its stablemate 90024 and an another long term project sneaking into the picture which will be the subject of another update…..

What do the insides of the wagons look like I'm doing same Dapol ballast wagons the lower sided ones with a colas 56 but wondered how you did the interior?

Very similar to the Turbots, I just start off with various rust shade washes then keep adding rust and scratches with paint and pigments. I finish off with the airbrush with dirt and dust ( ballast colour) then seal it all in with Matt varnish. It’s very much experimentation. There’s some good wagon weathering tips on the Accurascale website - @James Makin has done some great stuff on there, cheers Jerry
